Course Description:
Poor communication is one of the leading causes of conflict, inefficiency, and negativity in dental practices. In this engaging 1.5-hour on-demand course, dentists and dental specialists will learn a practical framework to create clear, respectful, and drama-free team communication. The S.P.E.A.K.I.N.G. acronym outlines eight essential communication rules that, when implemented, foster positivity, trust, and loyalty within the practice. Participants will gain insight into why communication rules are critical, what rules are most effective, and how to implement them consistently to transform practice culture. The course includes a downloadable reference guide and concludes with a quiz for CE credit.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1.Explain the importance of consistent communication standards for creating a positive and productive dental team environment.

2. Describe each of the eight S.P.E.A.K.I.N.G. communication rules and the role they play in eliminating drama and promoting healthy workplace culture.

3. Analyze common communication breakdowns in their current practice and identify which S.P.E.A.K.I.N.G. rules could resolve them.

4. Apply the S.P.E.A.K.I.N.G. framework to daily interactions with team members to reduce conflict, improve clarity, and enhance morale.

5. Design an implementation plan to integrate the S.P.E.A.K.I.N.G. rules into practice culture, including training, accountability, and reinforcement strategies.
